Titley Scientific is proud to support students, volunteers and community groups worldwide studying wildlife. We understand that quality scientific equipment is sometimes out-of-reach for students and volunteers, so we have created a program where we will loan you our equipment free of charge! Applications can be submitted at any time, and all applications will be assessed on their scientific, conservation and outreach merit. Applications are subject to availability of equipment, so get your applications in well in advance.
Who can apply? Students (undergraduate, honours, masters and PhD), volunteers, volunteer organisations, and community groups. The project must not be of a commercial nature.

How do I maximise the likelihood of my application succeeding? We assess all applications, the applications most likely to succeed are those with the greatest scientific, conservation and outreach merits. Concise and realistic applications will be viewed favourably. The earlier you apply, the better your chances of succeeding; applications 3 months before equipment is needed are more likely to be granted than a few weeks prior.
What equipment is available? Chorus, Anabat Walkabout, Anabat Swift, Anabat Express, Anabat Scout and temporary Anabat Insight licenses are available. You can request more than one detector, and we may negotiate the needs of your project with our current equipment availability.
Are there time limits on loans? Your equipment is loaned for a set period of time which is agreed upon in the loan contract. If equipment is not returned by the due date, you may be required to pay for the equipment in full.
Who covers postage? We will cover the shipping to send the equipment to you, but you will be responsible for return shipping.
