PROCEED TO CHECKOUTLightweight, compact, and easy to use passive detector with the convenience of AA batteries and built-in GPS. Features both full spectrum & zero crossing recording.
We have now sold the last of our Anabat Swift and will no longer be producing them as they have been superseded by the Ranger recorder. The Ranger can record natively in zero crossing and full spectrum, and is in a similar price range to the Anabat Swift with a lot more features.
The Swift has an incredible battery life, recording full spectrum for up to 100 nights* on 8 convenient and readily available AA batteries. You can choose to use 4 or 8 AA batteries depending on your required deployment time to reduce battery wastage, or use the external power option. Record bats in full spectrum with sample rates up to 500 ksps or in the memory efficient zero crossing format, all in the one device. Lower sample rates and customized scheduling allow you to record audible wildlife with the acoustic microphone. A built-in GPS saves the location in the metadata of every file you save, and can also be used to log tracks for mobile transects. 2 SD card slots provide ample data storage capacity. All in an easy to deploy, compact, lightweight design.
Includes
Carry Case, 1.5m Microphone Extension Cable, USB Cable, 4 & 8 AA Battery holders and magnetic lanyard for checking status. Please note microphones, SD Cards and batteries are sold separately.

A FIRM ANABAT FAVORITE, AN INCREDIBLY CAPABLE AUTOMATED, FULL SPECTRUM DETECTOR, ADAPTABLE TO A BROAD RANGE OF SURVEY DESIGNS
The Anabat Swift is a pleasure to use in the field, straightforward to set up and easy to deploy. Fits into the same lock boxes as the Express for extra security where necessary. Really versatile, with lots of flexibility in configuration. I was lucky to have had use of two Swifts for my research through Titley Scientific’s fantastic loan program, all involved have been super supportive and helpful – it was a great field season!
The Anabat Swift is simple enough for a novice biologist, but also provides a large array of controls and advanced options so you can tweak the program to your own individualized needs. Lightweight and compact, so carrying to a remote survey site is easy
Easy to Use and very user friendly! Very sensitive microphone that picks up bats with ease and produces quality recordings.
Fantastic anabat detector, easy to set up and leave out overnight to maximise your chance of detecting bats.
The Anabat Swift Passive Detector was easy to use with a good instructions and simple design. The camouflage case is helpful to disguise the device in public places. I have learnt that placement of the device is pretty important – face the machine along flyways rather than across them. Despite this we managed to get over 5000 calls over 9 nights. Very happy with the service we received from Titley Scientific, professional and helpful.
